#1 - Fighting Lost Number in the Shinra Mansion
When fighting the Lost Number, make sure you don't end up fighting the purple side. It has a special attack called Lost Blow, which causes 2000+ damage. In order to prevent this attack the Red/Purple Lost Number with lots of Magic, so you end up fighting the Red Side. If someone's limit fills up, save it until you're fighting the Red Side. There's a big chance that the Limit Break Attack will turn Red/Purple Lost Number into the Purple Side.
#3 - Exploring the Great Glacier
While you're in the Great Glacier, look for a monster called Snow. She can cast confu so be prepared against that. Steal the item from her and you'll get the circlet. The circlet is very important to magic users because it gives 30+ Magic Power and 30+ Spirit.
#5 - Fort Condor
This is something my friend told me, but I don't think it's true. When you first arrive at Fort Condor, or anytime before the final battle, go up to the top and touch the Condor. My friend said it would explode and you can pick up the Phoenix Materia. (Info from Wilber)
#7 - Cursed Ring
This must be done before Mideel is destroyed. First, go to the top building and around the side and look for a busted-up old key. It should be a bit past the corner of the building. Take the key to the Weapon Shop and try and unlock the door in the back. The key should break and the Owner of the store should talk to you. Like always in the game, tell him the truth about trying to unlock the door. He should give you the Cursed Ring. The Cursed Ring should say as a note: "Raises stats but..." What it means is who ever is wearing the Cursed Ring will have Death Sentence casted upon them, but, it boosts all you stats about 10 or 15 points. If you character holding the cursed ring dies, revive him/her and the Death Sentence will be gone.
#9 - Ultimate Weapon Bonuses
Ultima Weapon - Higher HP %, higher damage amount Premium Heart - Higher Limit Bar Fill, higher damage amount Missing Score - More AP on Materia in Weapon, more attack power Conformer - Higher enemy level, higher attack power Limited Moon - (unknown) Death Penalty - (unknown) HP Shout - (unknown) Venus Gospel - Higher MP %, higher damage amount
#1 - Speed Square
I've heard some things about shooting a Zeppline Engine to get some 30,000 points, that is not true. But what I have found is nearing the middle of the course, you'll see a steamboat. Shoot the engine part of it. The engine should be the first thing you see. It's also near the second round of fireworks. I've noticed that if you shoot the engine, your score goes up. So, I think as long you are shooting the engine, your score will keep going up. Don't let up until it's off the screen. I was able to get about 100 extra points. But, I haven't taken the time to carefully figure this out.
#3 - Protect Ring
You can steal a Protect Ring from Schizo in Gaea's Cliffs. But, you can steal only one from the two heads. If you already missed that, you can morph the 3 Movers found in the North Crater. The Movers are found in the grassy area of the North Crater. They look like orange dots.
#5 - North Crater
When you split your team up into two, you can get more than one of the more rare items like Mega-All or Imperial Guard. First, you MUST put Yuffie in your main party and keep her with Cloud throughout the whole trip. If you don't, Yuffie will steal many items that can not be found anywhere else. Second, send the rest of your party to the Left Path. You will travel the Right Path first. Do everything normal when going down the Right Path. When you get to the bottom, be sure to save. DO NOT enter the final scene where everyone is waiting! Go back up the Left Path and collect everything. Then, head back to the bottom of the cave and talk to those who weren't in your party during the way down. You should get a second of various items your team picked up. With my game, Vincent gave me an extra Mega-All!!! Good luck with this one!
#7 - Chocobo Breeding
If you really have a hard time trying to win A and S Class Races for getting a Gold Chocobo, try breeding them at Class A. Here is each percent of breeding a special chocobo at whatever class level: C Class: 10% B Class: 25 % A Class: 70 % S Class: 90%
#9 - Fort Condor
When fighting the battles at Fort Condor, you should always try and win. Just because you get Exp and AP from the Enemy Commader when you let them invade, doesn't mean you should do that. You always get a better prize from "halting" their attack than "enemy invasion." There is only one time where you should let them invade, which is the last battle. No matter what, you get the Phoenix Summon Materia. But, you don't get anything from the guy keeping watch. So, let them invade and win the battle against their Commader. You should get a Imperial Guard Armor for winning. Also, it much easier to let them invade in this last battle.
